About the Event
Little Voices is an eclectic mix of live art in abandoned spaces, a series of community engagement workshops and an evolving online platform. The programme brings together artists from all walks of life addressing the topic: transforming society to solve the climate crisis and the greatest inequalities of our time.
The relationship between climate change and social inequality is characterised by a vicious cycle, whereby initial inequality makes disadvantaged groups suffer disproportionately from adverse effects of climate change, resulting in greater subsequent inequality.
Meanwhile, art which has the power to mobilise action is often steeped in elitism. The programme elevated local and international, established and emerging artists, those from underrepresented backgrounds, both able bodied and less abled and is available live and online.
The piece shines a light on critical collective action needed to address climate change. Together, even little voices can make a big difference.
